HOW DID THIS GET MADE? is by far my favorite comedy podcast. They let us know that they were gonna talk about Netflix’s THE KNIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS and you cannot miss this episode!
This VIRTUAL LIVE SHOW is the Season’s hottest holiday event! I called it. It’s true.
First of all, if you have any interest at all in the schmaltzy Christmas movie genre, then you don’t want to miss this check-all-of-the-boxes instant Christmas favorite. You’ll be chewing on this one for quite a while. Why did the old crone really send the Knight to the future? What does anyone gain from this? Doesn’t it get rid of good Knights from their kingdom? What does SHE learn or do? Does any of that matter?? Of course not.
Vanessa Hudgens is absolutely as sweet and kind as you want in your leading character. Our knight, Josh Whitehouse, is as charming and adorable as you want as well. But the whole plot, knight virtues, and everything in between takes a back seat to the premise where a 14th century Knight having been sent by magic to the future and happens upon our beautiful heroine. His discovery of the new world is the kid-gloves version that keeps ya giggling. But I’m just left with more questions than anything else. I like this kind of movie when I’m in the right mood. Perhaps you will too! Grab some hot cocoa and a blanket and start your evening a little early so you can immediately go to the virtual show right afterwards!
